A 41-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of Suhail Choudry in Keighley.
Rashid Hussain, of Redcliffe Street, Keighley, has been charged with murder, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and violent disorder, West Yorkshire Police confirmed.
Mr Choudry, 35, died in hospital on 11 February after being found with serious head injuries on Flasby Street in the early hours of 8 February. Police previously said he had reportedly been chased and assaulted by a group armed with weapons including bats and sticks in the vicinity of East Avenue, in what is believed to have been a targeted attack.
In a statement, West Yorkshire Police said Hussain has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates Court on 20 February.
The force added that Hussain self-defines as Asian Pakistani including Asian British.
Earlier in the investigation, multiple arrests were made in connection with the assault. Several men were released on police bail as enquiries continued.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team have been appealing for information about the incident and any events in the days leading up to the attack that may be linked.
