The wife of Suhail Choudry has paid tribute to her husband following his death after an assault in Keighley.
Suhail Choudry, 35, was found with serious head injuries on Flasby Street shortly after 3.14am on Sunday, 8 February. He was taken to hospital but died on 11 February.
His wife, Zara, who is expecting the couple’s third child, described him as a devoted father whose children were “his world”.
In a statement, she said: “On the early morning of Suhail’s attack when I received a phone call, I could never have imagined what the coming days would bring.
“Suhail was a father before anything; it was his proudest title and the children were his world.
“Telling your children their daddy has passed away is something no mother should have to do; we will never find peace with the brutality in which he left us.
“I want to appeal today – if you have any information, no matter how big or small, please contact the police.
“Suhail deserves justice, not just for him but for his daughter, son and unborn child.”
Detectives from West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack and have appealed for information about incidents in the days leading up to it, which they believe may be linked.
Three men previously arrested in connection with the case have been released on police bail. A 42-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody.
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward as enquiries continue.
