Dubai International Airport (DXB) has been evacuated following reports of an Iranian projectile impact near Terminal 3, as the escalating conflict between Iran, the United States and Israel spreads across the Gulf.

Witnesses described alarms sounding inside the airport before passengers were instructed to leave terminal buildings. Images and videos circulating online show smoke rising from within the airport perimeter, while emergency services were seen responding to the scene. Dubai Airports issued an advisory urging travellers to avoid the area, confirming that operations at both Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum International (DWC) have been suspended. UAE airspace has also been closed.

The UAE Ministry of Defence previously stated that multiple incoming missiles and drones had been intercepted as part of a broader retaliatory wave launched by Iran against US-linked targets in the region. Officials said air defence systems neutralised several threats, but reports suggest at least one projectile breached defences and caused damage at or near the airport complex. The extent of the damage has not yet been officially confirmed.

At the same time, footage shared on social media appears to show fire and smoke at or near the Burj Al Arab hotel. Authorities have not confirmed whether the blaze is directly linked to missile or drone activity. Emergency crews are understood to be at the scene.

The reported strike on Dubai follows Iranian operations targeting US military installations and allied interests across the Gulf, which Tehran has described as a response to earlier US-Israeli strikes inside Iran. Several Gulf states have reported missile interceptions and temporary airspace closures amid the heightened tensions.

There has been no official confirmation of casualties in Dubai. Authorities say investigations are ongoing and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
