The Supreme Court of Pakistan has accepted the unconditional apologies from Senator Faisal Vawda and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Mustafa Kamal in a contempt of court case. The court had issued contempt notices to both leaders following anti-judiciary remarks made during press conferences.

Initially, Senator Vawda resisted offering an unconditional apology, maintaining that his comments were not meant to insult the judiciary but to address issues affecting the country. However, on June 26, Vawda revised his stance and submitted a new response, offering an unconditional apology and placing himself at the mercy of the court.

Mustafa Kamal, in contrast, promptly issued an unconditional apology for his comments against the judiciary. The Supreme Court took suo moto notice of the press conferences held by both leaders, during which they called for evidence of judicial interference, leading to the issuance of contempt notices and requiring their responses.
