Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was arrested in New York City on Monday evening as part of an ongoing investigation into sex trafficking allegations. The arrest took place at a Manhattan hotel, hours after the rapper was seen in Central Park and walking the streets of midtown Manhattan with his son, Christian Combs. Diddy, dressed in a long black coat and grey sweatpants, appeared unfazed as he posed for selfies with fans prior to his apprehension.

The arrest was carried out by Homeland Security officials, and U.S. Attorney Damian Williams confirmed that Combs was taken into custody in connection with a sealed indictment issued by the Southern District of New York. Officials have indicated that they will request the indictment to be unsealed later today, potentially revealing more details about the charges Combs faces.

This latest legal development comes after a tumultuous year for Combs, who settled a lawsuit with his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in November 2023. Ventura had accused Combs of sex trafficking and abuse. A video surfaced in May 2024 showing Combs physically attacking Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel room in 2016, an incident that reignited public scrutiny of the rapper. At the time, Combs acknowledged his actions, stating he had “hit rock bottom” and expressed regret, taking “full responsibility” for the incident.

Combs’ son, Christian, also known as ‘King Combs,’ was seen spending time with his father earlier in the day, dressed in a grey sweat suit. The two were photographed together in midtown Manhattan just hours before the arrest, with no indication of the imminent legal action.

Combs, 54, has had a prominent career in the entertainment industry but now faces serious legal challenges as this investigation unfolds.
