Security personnel surrounded protesters before launching the crackdown, during which streetlights were switched off, and nearby markets were closed. The operation lasted two to two-and-a-half hours, resulting in the detention of over 500 individuals.

Police confirmed that vehicles in the Blue Area were left abandoned by protesters, and some were torched, including the container carrying Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur. Videos shared on local media showed broken windows of vehicles on Jinnah Avenue following the operation.

Arrested protesters have been detained in various Islamabad police stations, with some transferred to a CIA sub-jail. Authorities plan to present detainees in court in phases, requesting physical remand.
