Police have released an image of a man who was allegedly beaten to death with a concrete slab in Leysdown-on-Sea, Kent, as three teenagers face murder charges.
The victim, 49-year-old Alexander Cashford, was discovered with multiple serious injuries in the Warden Bay Road area, near Jetty Road, shortly after 19:00 BST on Sunday. Emergency services, including South East Coast Ambulance Service, attended but Mr Cashford was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kent Police allege he was assaulted following a disturbance involving a small group of people. A short time later, a 16-year-old girl and two boys, aged 14 and 15, were arrested and taken into custody.
On Tuesday, the three teenagers, all from London, were charged with murder by joint venture and remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court.
A 12-year-old girl, arrested on 12 August in Basildon in connection with the incident, remains in custody while enquiries continue.
Detectives have urged anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to contact Kent Police’s Major Crime Unit.
