Three Children Charged With Murder Of Man On Isle Of Sheppey In Kent

Three children have been charged with the murder of a man who was found dead on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent, police have confirmed.

A 16-year-old girl and two boys, aged 14 and 15, were arrested following an altercation in Leysdown-on-Sea on Sunday night. Emergency services were called to Warden Bay Road shortly after 19:00 BST after reports of a man being assaulted.

A 16-year-old girl & two boys, aged 14 & 15, have been charged with the murder of 49-year-old Alexander Cashford in Leysdown-on-Sea, Kent.

The victim, identified as 49-year-old Alexander Cashford, was pronounced dead at the scene despite attempts to save his life. His next of kin have been informed.

Kent Police also confirmed that a 12-year-old girl from Basildon has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.

Officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward. They are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack, which has shocked the local seaside community.
