At least four people have been killed and five others wounded in a shooting attack on the north-western outskirts of Jerusalem, according to paramedics.
Magen David Adom, Israel’s ambulance service, said the dead included a man in his 50s and three men in their 30s. Five gunshot victims were taken to hospital, while others sustained injuries from shattered glass during the attack.
The incident occurred at Ramot Junction, a major road interchange in Jerusalem. Israeli police confirmed that “two terrorists were neutralised” at the scene.
Channel 12 reported that the attackers, identified as armed Palestinians, opened fire at a bus station before boarding a bus and continuing their assault. A soldier returned fire and killed them.
Initial reports suggested around 20 people may have been injured, though this figure was later revised to nine confirmed casualties, including those treated for non-gunshot injuries.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation.
