“I say to the residents of Gaza, I take this opportunity and listen to me carefully: you have been warned — leave now!” Netanyahu said in a statement hours after Israel announced it would escalate its air campaign over the enclave.
He added that Israeli forces were “organising and assembling in Gaza City” for a forthcoming ground manoeuvre.
The warning comes as Israel continues its military operation to seize Gaza City and displace its population southwards. The campaign has drawn widespread international condemnation, with humanitarian agencies warning of catastrophic consequences for civilians.
Israel has framed the action as a security necessity, while critics argue it amounts to the forced removal of the city’s entire population.
