Photographs appearing to show Prince Andrew in a compromising position with an unidentified woman have been included in the latest batch of files released by the US Department of Justice in connection with Jeffrey Epstein.
The images show Andrew kneeling on all fours over a fully clothed woman lying on the ground. In two photographs, he appears to be touching her stomach, while another shows him looking directly at the camera. No context has been provided, and it remains unclear when or where the images were taken.
The photographs form part of more than three million pages of documents and around 180,000 images made public as part of a transparency process linked to investigations into Epstein’s activities.
Alongside the images, newly released emails from August 2010 appear to show Epstein arranging for Andrew to meet a 26-year-old Russian woman. In the exchange, Epstein described the woman as “beautiful” and “trustworthy” and suggested she might enjoy having dinner with him.
The account identified as “The Duke” responded that he would be in Geneva until later that month but would be “delighted to see her”. He also asked whether Epstein had further information about her.
Another email exchange from September 2010 suggests Epstein and “The Duke” discussed meeting in London, with Andrew proposing dinner at Buckingham Palace “with lots of privacy”. Epstein replied positively to the suggestion.
The emails do not indicate any criminal wrongdoing, and their authenticity has not been independently verified.
Also included in the latest release is a 2020 request from US authorities seeking assistance in interviewing Andrew. The document states that investigators believed he “may have been a witness to and/or participant in certain events” related to the Epstein case. It also noted that he was not a formal target of the investigation at that time.
Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein and has said he did not witness or suspect any illegal behaviour. He previously faced civil allegations from Virginia Giuffre, which he denied, and reached a financial settlement in 2022 without admitting liability.
The latest files also contain emails apparently exchanged between Epstein and Sarah Ferguson, discussing personal matters and business ideas. The messages do not suggest criminal conduct.
Many of the newly released documents remain heavily redacted, with some pages entirely blacked out. The Department of Justice said the material includes thousands of videos and images, some of which are commercial in nature.
