Warren Slater, the father of missing 19-year-old Jay Slater, has emotionally recounted the anguish his family is enduring as the search for his son enters its second week. Warren broke down in tears, describing the situation as a “living hell” and making a heartfelt plea for information: “I just want him to be found, simples. I just want my son back, end of. What more is there, it’s been a week now, a week of nothing, so somebody somewhere must’ve found out something. Somebody.”

Jay Slater, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, was last seen in Tenerife after attending the NRG music festival. His disappearance has prompted an extensive search operation involving local police, mountain rescue teams, and volunteers. Despite the efforts, there have been no significant leads on Jay’s whereabouts.

Warren has been actively involved in the search, putting up posters and speaking to locals in Santiago del Teide, where it is believed Jay might have been captured on CCTV. The family continues to hold out hope for Jay’s safe return and urges anyone with information to come forward.

The search for Jay has been extensive, covering rugged terrain and challenging conditions. Authorities have utilized drones, search dogs, and helicopters in their efforts to locate him. The community has also rallied around the family, providing support and assistance in the search.

The emotional toll on Jay’s family has been immense, with Warren expressing the sheer desperation they feel each day Jay remains missing. The family’s plea for information is a call for compassion and urgency, hoping that someone might have seen or heard something that could lead to Jay’s safe return.

As the search continues, the Slater family and the community remain united in their efforts to find Jay. The outpouring of support and solidarity highlights the strength of community spirit in times of crisis. The family remains hopeful that their beloved Jay will be found and brought home safely.
