The suspect was born in Cardiff to Rwandan Christian parents who moved to the Southport area in 2013. Additionally, both the suspect and his older brother are autistic, a fact that has been verified by sources close to the family.

This clarification comes as Merseyside Police continue their investigation into the tragic attack that resulted in the deaths of two children and left several others injured. The police have reiterated that the incident is not being treated as terror-related, and no additional suspects are being sought.

Authorities continue to urge the public not to engage in speculation and to avoid spreading false information during this sensitive time. Accurate updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
