Warren Slater, the father of missing British teenager Jay Slater, has made an emotional plea for his son’s safe return as he visited the rugged terrain in Tenerife where search teams are actively looking for Jay. The visit took place on Saturday, June 22, near Masca, close to the area where Jay was last seen.

“I just want [my] boy back,” Warren Slater expressed, with the support of Jay’s brother, Zak, during their visit. The Slater family, from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire, has been enduring a distressing wait for news about Jay’s whereabouts.

Jay Slater, 19, vanished after attending the NRG music festival on the island with two friends. He was last heard from on Monday morning, after attempting to walk back to his accommodation following a missed bus.

The search for Jay, now in its seventh day, involves extensive efforts from Spanish authorities. The operation includes helicopters, drones, rescue dogs, and ground teams combing the mountainous regions of the Rural de Teno park. Despite the challenging conditions, search teams remain dedicated to finding Jay.

Jay’s mother, Debbie Duncan, also in Tenerife, has been actively involved in the search efforts. Although exhausted, she continues to hold onto hope for her son’s safe return. The community has shown immense support for the family, with a dedicated Facebook group providing regular updates and a GoFundMe campaign raising over £27,000 to assist with the search.

Authorities are investigating all possible leads and have urged anyone with information about Jay’s whereabouts to come forward. The family and search teams remain hopeful that new information will lead to Jay’s safe return.

As the search continues, the public is encouraged to stay tuned for updates and detailed coverage. The collective efforts of the community, authorities, and Jay’s family highlight the urgent and determined drive to bring him home safely.
