A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) JF-17 fighter jet crashed in Jhang district on the morning of June 5, 2024, at approximately 9:40 a.m. due to a technical glitch. The incident occurred without any casualties as the pilot successfully ejected from the aircraft before the crash.

Although the PAF has not yet released an official statement regarding the crash, initial reports indicate that the fighter jet experienced a technical malfunction that led to the accident. Eyewitnesses in the area reported seeing the aircraft descending rapidly before the pilot ejected safely.

Based on the rough image of the coat of arms visible on the wreckage, it is possible that the JF-17 belonged to the 14th squadron. The 14th squadron, known for its skilled pilots and advanced aircraft, plays a crucial role in the defense capabilities of the Pakistan Air Force.

Local authorities and emergency response teams quickly arrived at the crash site to secure the area and investigate the cause of the technical glitch. The pilot was promptly rescued after being found by locals and transported to a nearby medical facility for a precautionary check-up.
