A Halifax man has been jailed after a jury found him guilty of repeatedly raping a young girl when he was aged just 11 and 12.

Madasar Hussain, now 32, was convicted at Bradford Crown Court of six counts of rape.

The complainant cannot be identified because she is entitled to lifelong anonymity as a victim of a sexual offence.

Madasar Hussain

During sentencing, Judge Ahmed Nadim said Hussain’s offending had caused harm which was both profound and enduring.

“Your victim believed that she was going to die before you commenced raping her,” the judge told him.

Six Rape Convictions

Hussain was found guilty by a jury following a trial.

The court heard the offences were accompanied by “intimidation, coercion and on occasions physical force”.

Judge Nadim said the abuse had caused decades of psychological injury and that the complainant had been unable to describe what happened to her for many years.

Hussain continues to deny committing the offences.

Hussain Claims Allegations Were Fabricated

The judge noted that Hussain maintained the complainant had fabricated the allegations against him.

However, Judge Nadim said that position was in stark contrast to the detailed and compelling evidence which the jury had accepted during the trial.

The court heard the impact of the abuse had remained with the complainant long after the offences took place.

Sex Offender Registration For Life

As part of his sentence, Hussain will be required to register with police as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Judge Nadim also imposed a 20-year restraining order banning him from contacting the complainant.

Previous Convictions

The court was also told that Hussain had accumulated further criminal convictions as he grew older.

These included offences of violent disorder, dangerous driving and possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Judge Nadim said Hussain’s subsequent offending painted a “deeply troubling picture” of his character.

Hussain, of Halifax, was jailed following the sentencing hearing at Bradford Crown Court.
