A Sheffield man has been jailed for five years after police found a loaded firearm hidden in a bush following a pursuit through the city.

Zohaib Hussain, 30, of Huntsman Road, was spotted by officers driving a Land Rover Defender at speed on Staniforth Road on Monday, September 14.
Police began following the vehicle before Hussain abandoned it on Olivers Drive and ran down a nearby alleyway.
Officers Chase Hussain On Foot

Officers continued the pursuit on foot and saw Hussain disappear into shrubbery shortly before they caught up with him.
Police then searched the area where he had been seen entering the bushes.
A black bag was recovered from the shrubbery.
Loaded Firearm Found In Bag

South Yorkshire Police said the bag contained a firearm loaded with three live rounds of ammunition.
Hussain was arrested following the discovery.
He was subsequently charged with possessing a firearm and possessing ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.
Guilty Pleas At Sheffield Crown Court
Hussain pleaded guilty to both offences.
He appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday, October 27, where he was sentenced to five years in prison.
The case followed the police pursuit, arrest and recovery of the loaded weapon from the bushes near the route Hussain had taken while fleeing officers.
