The viral sensation Chaahat Fateh Ali Khan, known for his trending song “Akh Ladi Bado Badi,” has faced a setback as YouTube has deleted the popular video from his official channel due to copyright infringement claims. The song, which was uploaded last month, quickly became a hit, not only in Pakistan but also in neighboring India.

The removal of the song has been attributed to copyright issues, as the original track was performed by the legendary Pakistani singer Malika Taranum Noorjehan for the 1973 film ‘Banarasee Thug.’ Despite its removal, the song had already amassed over 27 million views and was trending across various social media platforms, including TikTok and Instagram.

Chaahat Fateh Ali Khan, whose real name is Kashif Rana, is a British Pakistani musician and former first-class cricketer. His rendition of “Akh Ladi Bado Badi” had captivated audiences with its catchy tune and engaging video. The song, titled “Bado Badi” on Khan’s channel, had quickly risen to the top of the charts on platforms like YouTube Shorts and Instagram.

The phrase “Bado Badi” is derived from Punjabi, translating roughly to the playful interaction of “big eyes.” The original song, “Ankh Ladi Bado Badi,” is a classic performed by Noor Jehan, whose contribution to the film ‘Banarasee Thug’ remains celebrated in South Asian music history.
