Brad recounted how he realized that Jay “went off the road” during their conversation. “He was on the phone and he goes: ‘I’ve got to walk and go all down that road’. That’s how I knew he went off the road because, you know when you walk on gravel, or whatever it is, you can… you know what I mean, stones,” Brad explained.

Despite this revelation, Brad noted that Jay did not appear concerned at the time, as their conversation was filled with laughter. These details provide additional context to Jay’s last known actions as the extensive search operation continues in the Teno Rural Park area, focusing on challenging terrains and ravines.

Authorities and volunteers remain committed to finding Jay, with ongoing search efforts expanding and renewed appeals for assistance from experienced volunteers. The search area now spans approximately 30 kilometers, with a concentrated focus on the Masca region.

The Civil Guard has called for more volunteers to join the search operation, set to begin at 9 AM on Saturday, June 29, from the Mirador de la Cruz de Hilda in Masca. The rugged terrain, filled with numerous ravines, paths, and uneven areas, presents significant challenges, underscoring the need for a coordinated and well-supported search effort.
