Taylor Swift has touched down in Scotland, fueling excitement and anticipation ahead of the British leg of her sell-out Eras Tour. The American pop icon, 34, reportedly arrived at a VIP airport in Edinburgh this afternoon via private jet. Swift was then escorted in a blacked-out vehicle with a police convoy, ensuring her swift and secure departure from the airport.

Swift’s arrival comes just hours before she is set to kick off her tour at Murrayfield Stadium tonight. The Cruel Summer singer will perform three shows in Edinburgh—tonight, Saturday, and Sunday—before moving on to Liverpool, Cardiff, and Wembley.

Dedicated fans, known as Swifties, have been queuing since 3am, enduring Scotland’s unpredictable weather. These devoted followers, many adorned in sparkling outfits now covered by waterproof coats, have braved the rain, some even donning plastic bags over their shoes to stay dry. Their commitment underscores the palpable excitement and anticipation that has been building for months as the Eras Tour finally reaches the UK.

This marks only the second time Swift has performed in Scotland, her last appearance being on the 1989 tour in 2015. Since then, she has ascended to even greater heights of stardom, with a level of cultural dominance unseen since the days of Michael Jackson and Madonna in the 1980s. Swift’s every move is closely followed, her albums consistently break sales records, and her concerts are events of seismic proportions. Even her relationship with American football star Travis Kelce generated massive viewership for the Super Bowl, despite her not performing.

Demand for tickets in Edinburgh is unprecedented, with scalpers reportedly charging up to £3,000 for a single seat. Fans unable to secure tickets are expected to gather outside Murrayfield Stadium, hoping to catch the concert from afar—a phenomenon dubbed “Taylor-gating” in the US.

Swift is scheduled to take the stage around 7pm tonight, promising an unforgettable experience for those in attendance and continuing her remarkable journey as one of the most influential and beloved pop stars in the world.
