The attacker, a youth who cannot be named for legal reasons, is originally from Cardiff and moved to Southport with his Rwandan parents when he was six years old. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and police are conducting a thorough investigation.

Merseyside Police quickly responded to the scene, where they arrested the suspect. Authorities have confirmed that the incident is not being treated as terror-related. The victims, including children as young as six, were enjoying the dance workshop when the hooded attacker launched his brutal assault.
