PML-N President and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is set to host a dinner today at Jati Umra for PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and JUI-F head Maulana Fazlur Rehman. The meeting is expected to focus on the constitutional amendments currently under consideration.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman arrived in Lahore for the meeting after he and Bilawal Bhutto reached an agreement on the draft of the proposed amendments following a four-hour-long discussion in Karachi. During a joint press conference, the two leaders announced their consensus on the amendments, with Fazlur Rehman praising Bhutto Zardari for his role in reaching the agreement.

Fazlur Rehman also confirmed his scheduled meeting with Nawaz Sharif, where they will discuss the amendments and seek support from PML-N. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized that the PPP and JUI-F agreement would serve as a foundation for further negotiations and hoped that the PML-N would join in supporting the draft.

The PPP chairman expressed optimism about the amendments being passed with consensus in the parliament. Meanwhile, Fazlur Rehman mentioned plans to engage with PTI leadership in an effort to present a unified draft of the amendments.

When questioned about specific details on issues like the constitutional court or bench, Fazlur Rehman refrained from providing direct answers.
