Former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has made strong remarks about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, claiming that he has “never believed in peace” or the two-state solution.
Speaking at Chatham House in London, Pelosi said that while the US supports Israel, Netanyahu’s leadership has hindered any viable solution for peace with Palestine.
She added that the level of “collateral damage” resulting from Israel’s military operations is unacceptable, despite Israeli claims of taking precautions.
“Clearly, clearly not enough,” Pelosi remarked, emphasising the need for more responsible actions to minimise harm to civilians.
