US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin have issued a formal letter to Israel, calling for immediate action to improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza within 30 days. The letter warns that failure to address the crisis could lead to legal repercussions affecting US military aid to Israel under American law.

The United States provides significant military assistance to Israel, but rising concerns in Washington over the humanitarian conditions in Gaza have prompted this diplomatic move. US officials are urging Israel to take steps to alleviate civilian suffering and ensure that humanitarian aid reaches those in need as the conflict continues to escalate.

This intervention comes as international pressure mounts over the worsening crisis in Gaza, where civilians remain deeply affected by the ongoing violence.
