Police have arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter following the deaths of two teenagers at a holiday park in East Yorkshire.

Cherish Bean, 15, and Ethan Slater, 17, both from Sheffield, were discovered at a rental property at Little Eden Holiday Park in Bridlington on Wednesday.

Humberside Police described the investigation as “highly complex” and confirmed the 27-year-old suspect remains in custody. Two other men, aged 33 and 42, who were also arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter, have been released on conditional bail as enquiries continue.

Officers have now confirmed that initial post-mortem examinations into the teenagers deaths were inconclusive.

The pair were found dead amid suspicions of possible carbon monoxide exposure, though police have not confirmed a definitive cause at this stage.

Detectives say extensive enquiries are ongoing as specialist officers continue to support the families of the two teenagers.
