Police have arrested a woman on suspicion of attempted murder after a car struck pedestrians in central London, leaving one woman in a critical condition.
Officers responded to reports of a collision on Argyll Street in Soho at around 04:30 BST on Sunday.
Emergency services took a woman in her 30s to hospital with life-threatening injuries, while a man in his 50s suffered life-changing injuries. A third woman received treatment for minor injuries.
Police arrested the driver, a 29-year-old woman, at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder, grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving and drink driving.
Detectives said they are not treating the incident as terrorism-related.
Witness footage circulating online appears to show a dispute involving several people before the collision, with a car moving forward and striking individuals on the pavement.

Reports circulating online have named influencers RielleUK and KlaudiaGlam in connection with the incident, though police have not formally confirmed those identities.
Investigators are working to establish the full circumstances of the incident, including the events leading up to the vehicle being driven into pedestrians.
Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell urged witnesses to come forward, saying officers believe people in the area at the time may have seen what happened.
She said information from the public could be “of crucial importance” to the investigation.
