Leaked Documents Reveal Alleged Financial Transfers from Qatar to Israeli PM Netanyahu

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) has released a second round of documents shedding light on alleged financial transfers from Doha to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The documents, leaked as part of the Raven Project, reportedly show funds being transferred from Qatar to Netanyahu at least twice in the past 12 years.

These newly released documents include a classified “top secret” letter from 2012, in which then Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim Aal Thani instructs the economy and finance minister to transfer a $50 million grant to Netanyahu. Another letter from the same year confirms that the money was delivered in cash by Qatar’s State Security Service after a formal bank transfer attempt via the World Vision organization failed.

The documents, which originated from a leak by ex-NSA agents working for actors in Qatar’s rival-neighbor, the UAE, suggest that the transfers were part of a broader financial involvement by Doha with political and military figures globally.

Earlier in December, MEMRI published the first round of documents, also from Project Raven, which detailed similar correspondences involving high-ranking Qatari officials and funds allegedly sent to Netanyahu and Avigdor Lieberman for their election campaigns.
