The Palace of Versailles near Paris has been evacuated and is currently under a significant security operation following reports of a stabbing attack. The incident reportedly stemmed from a dispute between two street vendors, escalating when one individual pulled a blade.

Authorities have instructed visitors to leave the area, with an official statement warning: “An intervention is underway at the Château de Versailles. Security forces are on site. Avoid the area and follow the instructions of the authorities. Do not relay false information.”

French outlet Le Figaro reported that a vendor was seen fleeing the grounds clutching a knife, though this detail remains unverified. In response to the situation, the GIGN elite police tactical unit has been dispatched to the scene. Social media images depict heavily armed units surrounding the historic palace.

The situation is developing, and the authorities are urging the public to stay away and refrain from spreading unverified information. Further updates will follow as the situation unfolds.
